sustainability

We feel these words are often miss-used in our industry and while we don’t promise to be perfect in this area, we can be trusted to be doing our best in this space. Greenwashing is just not us. We like to be as transparent with our supporters as possible.

In terms of sustainability, we prioritise all areas of production:

  1. The fabrics and materials (and how they are made)
  2. The workers (their working conditions, treatment, comfort levels, fair wages and well-being.
  3. Shipping & handling (from start to finish)

When we began in 2018 all our apparel and hardware was made in Australia. It was great, high quality but expensive! After learning that the business model was not achievable with this structure, we tried a supply factory in Pakistan as larger factories would not accept our smaller MOQs. Now in 2021 we’re excited to announce our apparel is being handcrafted and made with love by our mates in China from the highest quality sustainable fabrics in relaxed cuts, colours and designs.

Our new supply factory is SA 8000 Certified which means they meet internationally recognised standards of acceptable working conditions, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Sustainability & ethics have always been at the core of our brands identity and is why we address it at each level of production. Our values will revolutionise sustainability in the future and we aim to inspire others to support our movement for a better future.

Packaging and Handling

Our factory supplies our bulk order in biodegradable opaque plastic and since new Covid shipping rules apply, orders are now vacuum sealed.

Our orders are sent out to customers in complementary biodegradable tote bags with compostable packaging.

What’s done is done, only you can change the rest, are you on board?
